Information we collect

When you sign up for IntelDif, we collect your email address and authentication provider ID (Google). We collect the competitor URLs you choose to monitor and the change events and snapshots detected on those pages. We also process basic billing data and technical data (such as IP address and device information) needed to run and secure the service.

How we use your information

We use your information to deliver competitive intelligence alerts, improve our detection accuracy, process payments, provide customer support, and secure the platform. We do not sell your data, and we never share one customer’s competitor intelligence with another customer.

Legal bases for processing (GDPR)

Where the GDPR applies, we rely on: performance of our contract with you (delivering the service you signed up for); our legitimate interests (improving detection and securing the platform); your consent (where required, such as marketing email); and legal obligations (such as tax and accounting).

Sub-processors we share data with

We use a small set of vetted third parties to operate IntelDif, and share only the data each one needs:

Google — authentication when you sign in with OAuth
Lemon Squeezy — our Merchant of Record — processes payments and stores your billing details
OpenAI — analyzes the content of detected page changes to generate strategic insights
Sentry — error and performance monitoring to keep the service reliable
Our cloud hosting provider — runs the application and stores your account and snapshot data

We do not sell personal data, and we do not share your monitored URLs or detected changes with anyone outside the processors listed above.

Data retention

Screenshots and snapshot data are retained according to your plan terms (14 days for Free, 30 days for Starter, 90 days for Pro, 180 days for Growth, 365 days for Business, unlimited for Enterprise). Account data is retained while your account is active and deleted on request or after account closure. You can request deletion of your data at any time by contacting privacy@inteldif.com.

International data transfers

Some of our processors (such as OpenAI and Lemon Squeezy) operate in the United States. Where your data is transferred outside your region, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you have the right to:

Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you
Correct inaccurate data
Delete your data ("right to erasure")
Export your data in a portable format
Object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw consent at any time

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to maintain your session, and privacy-respecting analytics to understand how the product is used. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

Data security

We protect your data with encryption in transit, access controls, and continuous monitoring. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and to notify you of any material breach as required by law.

What We Optimize For

IntelDif's AI analysis pipelines are calibrated for strategic competitive intelligence on pricing, product, documentation, security, and company-news surfaces. Changes detected on non-core surfaces (general media, ecommerce catalog pages, live data feeds) are processed with different confidence thresholds and may not receive the same level of AI analysis. This affects the data we generate about your competitors, not the data we collect about you.
